Landscape Bodies
The Landscape Body comes in various forms, but one of the most popular is made of a Flatbed with a dump hoist and solid gates made of plywood or composite or metal with a swing-away gate system on the rear to dump the load easily. The sides are typically about 42" to 50" and the body is designed to carry clippings and brush. IT IS NOT DESIGNED TO CARRY DIRT OR ROCK IN QUANTITIES OVER 1-YARD. This body became very popular with Landscape Maintenance people and consequently has been referred to as the Landscape or Landscaper Body. In parts of the country, a body is marketed as a Landscape Body that is made out of expanded metal and is mainly designed to carry lawn maintenance equipment and it has a large ramp and what is called a "beaver tail." On the west coast, they use trailers for this purpose. For our purposes here, we will refer to the Landscape Body as a Flatbed with Tall, Solid Gates and Swing-Away Rear Gate System.

There are a number of helpful options that can make the Landscape Body more useful. Some of these are optional side swing-out gates with step, storage box mounted behind the cab to carry all the tools and equipment, crew cab chassis to carry more people to and from the job, underbed boxes, and much more. The most popular sizes are 12' and 14', although the Landscape Body is available in other sizes.
